Here's a variation of the pattern below. I'm liking these characters, they make me laugh. I might create a series of them.

Found this feather on a walk yesterday. It measures about half an inch. I scanned it in at 1200 DPI which revealed so much more detail than my eyes saw. Beautiful.
the zen of body construction
So, after hours of toil and spoil I have come to understand sculpture construction one bit more. Upon realizing that the body parts I had originally constructed weren't working with the new understructure, I disassembled and reassembled our zen girl. I made some yoga pants for her in black and then created a new tunic top that will allow for more stitching. Here are some of the work in progress shots.

This week has been so hard I can hardly keep my eyes open, so when I started doodling last night it was with the aim of just having fun. Here is the patterned result..
some things are free
Just noticed this wonderful grid of color when I was exporting an image through Photoshop. It catalogs all of the colors and tints of those colors to create a jpg image. Might be a cool way to explore palette variations.
